Our first true month of summer, where temps have routinely hit 70 and it has only rained every other day rather than every day.   Days have been spent lounging at the pool, frolicking in the sand at the lake, cruising bike paths with children in tow, but mostly, slaving away at work.  There has got [...]

Weekend wrapup

It rained so much Thursday and Friday, that the trails were not dry enough to ride until Sunday.  Even got caught in a hail storm on Friday in an underpass.    Saturday the sun came back and I got in some quality specific work in the morning then dropped the wife off for a spa treatment and [...]

Doper

Chess players dope?  Apparently. Last year this guy lost a match and then was asked to piss in a cup by the officials, he runs out of the room and refuses to provide the beta blocker aphetamined laced urine.  The German chess federation is joining the anti-doping fight, because they don’t want the young chess players growing up [...]

It was the old lady’s B-day so Gavin and I made the cake, I baked and G decorated.

We should go [...]

Tues. nite is spinning held in an old racquetball court located inside a bikeshop led by a crazy Austrian with legs the size of tree trunks.  German is a very “angry, harsh” language, and is quite fitting for spinning.  Luckily, both people beside me spoke decent English and were kind enough to translate the commands spoken, even [...]

The story around here is German farmers feed their chickens an orange dye to make the yolks come out, well, orange.  My wife actually refuses to eat eggs bought on the economy because they are, well, orange.  They do look, well, orange, but is it any different than the states?  This article makes me think it [...]

and today we have snow

Snow came in overnight and continued throughout the day.  Perfect timing since the 69er is complete.  Today was also a day of cleaning and organizing.  We have been in this house for a month now, finally unpacked the last box today.  We started with the kids playroom downstairs.  This room is awesome as it has [...]
